We have finally located a German supplier that could build a reasonably priced, but high quality 40,000 - 60,000 rpm end mill spindle for us. Every single piece we've seen so far was at least over 2000 Watts, designed for router bits that could remodel Stonehenge, so they were created for very serious industrial levels of production. For god's sake, we only use 1-2mm bits...
Again, we face a problem of being somewhere in the middle, too big for artistic, prototyping and hobby stuff, but too small for large series production industrial gear. This supplier is right at the end of a development process, and we are going to be the first clients to get their new speedy but small liquid cooled HF spindle. Let's keep our fingers crossed.
